08 Jan ConexSmart Supports L3Harris with Deployment of Ukraine-Bound VAMPIRE™ System

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) recently published a Press Release regarding the expeditious delivery of a counter-UAS weapon system that, according to Capt. Alex Dutko, PMA-242 Program Manager, is having “an immediate impact in the ongoing Ukrainian wartime effort.” The system Capt. Dutko is referring to is L3Harris’s Vehicle Agnostic Modular Palletized ISR Rocket Equipment – or VAMPIRE™.

ConexSmart, in partnership with L3Harris, aided in the development and fielding of this crucial capability. ConexSmart engineers and technicians were onsite from the early developmental phases throughout final integration. The team rapidly delivered results to support the urgent pace of the program, providing the interconnectivity design and drawing package to allow its full rate production. Counter-UAS capabilities such as VAMPIRE are critical in combatting the ever-increasing threats of adversarial drone technologies.
