20 Feb ConexSmart Supports Local Program to Assist Disabled Veterans

The ResqRanch, founded by Conifer Veterinarian and Dr. Jena Questen, is a non-profit horse sanctuary with a Vision To strengthen the emotional connection between animals and their people, to help more of both live happier and healthier, longer. In keeping with the organization’s vision, the ResqRanch will host animal, nature, and art-based therapeutic programs supporting disabled veterans throughout the foothills and surrounding areas.  Through partnerships with local organizations like the Jefferson Center for Mental Health, the ResqRanch’s impact on our community will continue to grow.  Learn more about Dr. Questen’s vision for the ResqRanch on Good Day Colorado and at ResqRanch.org.

As a local veteran-owned small business with a large number of employees who are military veterans, the ConexSmart team welcomed the chance to support a cause near and dear to their hearts. Many have seen firsthand the impact that animal therapy can have on veterans with PTSD, along with other diagnoses. 

HOW CONEXSMART WILL HELP

In the true spirit of ConexSmart culture, an employee will be awarded the Stubborn Adherence to Excellence Award each month. The lucky employee will receive a plaque which will also be displayed at the ResqRanch.  Inspired by the ResqRanch’s first donkey, Dominic, each plaque recognizes the recipient’s unyielding commitment to excellence, as well as ConexSmart’s ongoing commitment to support the veteran community.  In addition, a monthly donation of $500 will be made to the ResqRanch to help support construction, horse care and the development of therapeutic programs. The ConexSmart team is also committed to contributing volunteer hours at the ranch starting in the spring.
